Spell ‘syzygy.’ Spell ‘strabismus.’ Spell ‘capybara.’
If you got those right, no cheating, you may be eligible to enter the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee!
This show is a musical comedy that centers around a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School. Six quirky adolescent characters compete in the Bee, run by three equally-as-quirky grown-ups.
The wonderfully wacky tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words. All while revealing candidly hilarious and touching stories from their home life. Six spellers enter but only one leaves victorious! (All losing spellers will receive a juice box.)
A righteous ride, complete with audience participation, the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is full of hilarious high-jinks and comedic genius.
Performances of the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee take place on Thursday, January 19th; Friday the 20th; Saturday the 21st; and Sunday the 22nd. Taking place at Cheltenham Center For The Arts 439 Ashbourne Road Cheltenham Township, PA 19012. Tickets cost $15.
Come on out for a fun night of laughs as the talented cast takes the audience on a musical journey to see who will be crowned the champion of Putnam’s 25th!
